APacCHRIE 2020 Conference
Prof. Pearl Lin, Ph. D.,CHA
Dear APacCHRIE2020 Participants:
Welcome to Kaohsiung! National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism (NKUHT) is thrilled to be hosting the 18th APacCHRIE Conference from 27-30 May 2020. This will be the second time for Taiwan to host the conference. The first time was in 2006 in Hualien on the beautiful and lush East Coast of Taiwan. This time, participants will be able to enjoy the beauty and hospitality of the South while in Kaohsiung.
Since its founding in 1995, NKUHT has been known as the premier school of hospitality and tourism in Taiwan. As such, our outstanding students have been tasked with organizing and managing this conference from planning to staging. Therefore, we are sure that your time at APacCHRIE will be met with first-rate professional service.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Hospitality Plus Humanity x Technology.’ For comprehensive conference information including links on Programs, Youth Conference, Accommodation, Kaohsiung, and more, please consult the conference website at https://apacchrie2020.com/.
We are confident you will find this year’s conference both invigorating and a great opportunity to make connections with top scholars, instructors, and industry professionals from the Asia-Pacific region and around the world.
This conference would not have been possible without the tireless and professional work of Conference Chair Sophie Liu, Dean of the School of Hospitality Management, and the faculty on the Conference Advisory Committee. In addition, we would especially like to thank the student Organizing Committee, whose members have done outstanding work preparing for this conference.
As Kaohsiung is famous for its warm hospitality, we are confident your stay here will be enjoyable and well worth your time. Enjoy the conference!
Dr. Pearl Lin
